Canvas Front Page Options

With the introduction of Canvas, DACC's administration has made the decision to require the DACC logo be desiplayed at the top of every Canvas course's front page. To implement this requirement, this page was developed to guide instructors through the process.

Since instuctors have their own way of presenting a courses information, five options have been developed to format your front page. The first option contains only the logo and can be placed above any existing front page content. The other four options have the logo along with "cells" that allow instructors to have unique content per cell.

To add the DACC logo to your course, you will need to select from one of the following options, copy a layout and paste it into your course's front page. You can then add your course material to the new layout which your students will see every time they enter your Canvas course.Below are five layout options that include what you will be adding to your courses front page and an example of what can be done with the layout.

TIP: If you already have content in your front page, select Option 1. If you are starting with a blank front page, select from Option 2-5.

Step 1 - Review each option and click the "Select Option #" button for your option to move to the next step. A pop-up dialog box will appear to give you more instructions.
