Julia A. Kirton
Julia Kirton has been working as a professional architect for 9 years. Always having had a love for design from a young age, over the years, she has come to focus on the Built and Landscaped environment.
After acquiring her Associates Degree in Building and Civil Engineering in Applied Science from Barbados Community College, exposing her to Building Construction Techniques and the use of materials, she went on to attend the Caribbean School of Architecture, University of Technology, Jamaica (UTECH), where she got her Bachelors in Architectural Studies in Applied Science, graduating with honors. She then went to acquire her Masters in Architecture for the University at Buffalo; acquiring it as a Fulbright Scholarship recipient. She graduated magna cum laude.
She also believes that keeping sustainability issues at the fore front of design is crucial for the environment in which we live and to that end has acquired her LEED Green Associate Credential US GBCI.
Julia has worked professionally in the field and in academia and is very happy to be part of the DACC faculty.
