2009 - 2010 Commencement

The 2009/2010 DACC commencement exercises will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Pan American Center

Candidates for an associate degree, certificate of completion, and GED will be recognized. This includes Fall 2009, Spring 2010, and Summer 2010 graduates.  There are no admission tickets to the Commencement. It is free and open to the public. Parking at Pan Am is also free.

The doors of Pan Am open one hour prior to the ceremony. Graduates should report to the arena by 6:00 p.m. The ceremony will start promptly at 7:00 p.m.

Students and their guests with disabilities are welcomed and encouraged to participate in Commencement activities. Please contact DACC’s Student Services office (527-7548) to make special arrangements. Sign language services will be provided during commencement.

Filing Your Degree Application

Students are required to file an application for certificate or associate degree and pay the graduation fee for each degree sought. This fee ($10 for a certificate; $25 for an associate degree) must be paid before the end of the semester or session in which the candidate anticipates completing degree requirements. These fees may be paid at the DACC Cashiers Office in room 118. If degree requirements are not completed during the semester or session for which the student paid the fee, the student must reapply and pay any fees that may apply. Degree applications for the associate degree and certificate are available at the DACC’s Registration Area (Room 115). All fees and bills owed the university must be paid before a student may receive a diploma or transcript of credits.

Associate degree diplomas and Certificates of Completion are mailed approximately 8 weeks after the end of the semester in which the degree requirements are completed.
