August 28, 2012

On behalf of the faculty, staff and administration of Doña Ana Community College, welcome to the 2012-2013 school year. For students who are returning, we're glad to see you, and for those who are new to DACC, we look forward to making you part of our family.

DACC prides itself on the premise that "students come first." We take this to heart in providing you with a comprehensive academic program which will help you prepare to enter the local workforce with the career of your choice. Students come first as we reach you where you are by providing educational opportunities through seven satellite learning centers across the county: Hatch Center, East Mesa Campus, Central Campus on Espina, Mesquite Neighborhood Learning Center, Chaparral Center, and our campuses at Gadsden and Sunland Park.

You'll learn there are many things happening at all of our locations, but as we start this new school year, our Student Government Association has several "Welcome Back" events planned with free food and drinks, and our Career Services team is also participating with their "blitz" in which Wienerschnitzel will be on hand to serve chili dogs, hot dogs and sodas. All these events are scheduled between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Tuesday, August 28, 2012, Central Campus, Patio Area
  • Thursday, August 30, 2012, East Mesa Campus, DAAR
  • Tuesday, September 4, 2012, Gadsden Center, Commons Area
  • Thursday, September 6, 2012, Sunland Park Center, Commons Area

Best wishes for a terrific school year!
