Admission Requirements
In order to be considered for the Respiratory Therapy Program, applicants must submit a completed application (available from DAHL 190, or from the home page)by May 1st for entry to the following Fall semester. The following are required of all students applying for the Respiratory Therapy Program:
- Cumulative GPA: 3.0
- Science GPA: 2.7 (see application for more info)
- Respiratory Therapy Entrance Exam (see program for details)
- 2 MMR Vaccinations
- Hepatitis B Series
- Varicella Titer
- Tetanus Vaccine (within past 10 years)
- Completed Application Packet (Resume, Transcripts, Signed Application, Letter of Intent, GPA Worksheets)
Upon review of applications, qualified students will be called in for an interview with program faculty. All students will be notified of their admission status in writing once interviews have been completed.
Students selected for admission to the program will be expected to attend an orientation session over the summer, and will also be responsible for the following:
- CPR Certification
- National Background Check
- 10-Panel Drug Screen
- Tuberculin Skin Test
