Programs

A variety of certificate and degree programs are offered here at Dona Ana Community College. The individual programs are designed with the student learner in mind and for continual education to reach the student's full potential. A student accepted to the nursing program may choose to earn an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certificate and then after completion of a few more courses earn an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). These competitive entry programs include classroom theory, simulation and hands-on clinical experience, along with applied learning in a variety of settings.

The ADN Program offers basic nursing education. A student can enter the program via the Traditional (no previous nursing coursework students), Advance Placement (previous nursing coursework), LPN to RN, or Readmission Tracks. The degree plans consist of non-nursing course work and nursing course work that includes classroom, laboratory and clinical learning experiences. New students are accepted into the Nursing Program in the fall and spring semesters.

Note: Admission to Dona Ana Community College does not guarantee admission to the Nursing program. Admission to DACC is required before program admission.
