Courses in Developmental Studies are designed to help students acquire the skills and attitudes necessary for college success. The program is intended for a range of students : Those who wish to enroll at New Mexico State University but are unable to meet NMSU admissions standards; students who are currently enrolled at NMSU but whose prior performance and/or preliminary assessment scores indicate the need for the development of basic academic skills; students who are enrolled in technical-vocational programs at Doņa Ana Branch Community College who need skill building; and students who want to 
improve their basic academic skills before taking university-level courses. 

PLACEMENT IN, AND COMPLETION OF, DEVELOPMENTAL STUDIES COURSES. 

Developmental Studies includes courses in English, math, reading, and study skills.  Please refer to the DABCC catalogue for specific placement information.
