Students will be able to demonstrate:

  • Competence using appropriate medical terminology, principles, and practices utilized in a medical office/facility environment.
  • Effective written, oral, and electronic business communication skills.

  • Competence in using current technology and software applications.
  • Proficiency in keyboarding, numeric keypad, and formatting.
  • Competence in medical insurance billing and coding.
  • Behavior appropriate for a medical office/facility and team-based environment.
