This handbook has been prepared to serve as an introduction to your employment as well as to serve as a reference guide. There are several things that are important to keep in mind about this faculty handbook. First, it contains only general information and guidelines.
It is not intended to be comprehensive or to address all the possible applications of, or exceptions to, the general policies and procedures described. For that reason, if you have any questions concerning eligibility for a particular benefit, or the applicability of a policy or practice to you, you should address your specific questions to your supervisor or, as applicable, to the DACC Personnel/Payroll Services in Room 111 at the DACC Central Campus, or at 575-527-7550.
Neither this handbook nor any other DACC document confers any contractual right, either express or implied, to remain in the employ of DACC. Nor does it guarantee any fixed terms and conditions of your employment. The procedures, practices, policies andbenefits described here may be modified or discontinued from time to time. We will try to inform you of any changes as they occur.
The best way to use this faculty handbook is to take some time now to scan the Table of Contents. At a later date you may want to go back and read more thoroughly the sections that are important to you. After familiarizing yourself with the contents of this book, you are encouraged to ask questions of your supervisor regarding any matter covered in this material or other matters of concern to you as an employee.
You are encouraged to review the complete NMSU Policy and Procedure Manual.
