Compass Test

Testing Center

The COMPASS (Computer-Adaptive Placement and Assessment Support System) is a web-based computer software package developed by American College Testing (ACT).  The assessment is used to accurately place students into appropriate math, reading, and English courses.

DACC’s Central Campus offers COMPASS testing at 9:00 am and 1:30 pm daily. Please call (575) 527-7569 or (575) 527-7712 for an appointment.

COMPASS testing is also available at each of the satellite campuses by appointment. Contact Homer Bernal at (575) 528-7045 for the East Mesa Campus, Manny Hernandez at (575) 874-7787 for the Sunland Park Center, and Ray Diaz at the Gadsden Center at (575) 882-6809 to schedule.

The Double-Check Test is a math skill assessment developed by DACC’s Math Department. It is available to students on the recommendation of their math instructor or if they feel their COMPASS or ACT math scores is inaccurate. The Double Check Test is available by appointment only at the Central Campus. Please call (575) 527-7569 or (575) 527-7712 for an appointment.
