Apply for Financial Aid & Scholarships
DACC encourages you to apply for Financial Aid by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Aid is based on eligibility and satisfactory academic progress. The three general forms of aid under federal and state programs are:
- Grants - free funds for school-related expenses
- Loans - loaned funds that must be paid back to lender
- Work-study - funds you earn incrementally during a part-time job
You are also encouraged to apply online for a variety of scholarships.
To be eligible for the New Mexico Lottery Scholarship, you must graduate from a New Mexico public high school or GED program and immediately attend college full-time (12 credits or more) the first fall or spring semester. At the end of your first semester, if you have completed 12 or more credits with a GPA of 2.5 or more, you will automatically be given the scholarship the following semester. You can continue to receive the scholarship up to 4 semesters (for an associates degree) as long as you complete 12 credits every semester and your cumulative GPA remains 2.5 or higher.
The DACC Financial Aid Office is located at the East Mesa Campus in the Student Resources Building, Room 109, (575) 527-7696.
