OBTAIN NMSU STUDENT ID CARD

Students are eligible to have a Student ID card and some school districts require it to pick up textbooks.  The ID has a picture and NMSU ID number on it to identify the student at various campus offices. The card is used for checking out books at the library and access to computer labs or tutoring services.

The NMSU ID Card Services Office is located in Corbett Center 137, (575) 646-4835.

PICK UP TEXTBOOKS

Students should check with their high school counselor regarding the process and date to     pick up their textbooks.

Take an ID and class schedule.  Class and book locations are listed below:

Pick up books at the DACC Bookstore at the Central Campus located in the Classroom Building, Room 170, (575) 527-7692; open M-F 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

Classes held at DACC East Mesa Campus

After dropping courses, return textbooks immediately.

IF BOOKS ARE NOT RETURNED, a hold will be put on the student’s high school account.

CREATE My.NMSU.edu ACCOUNT

Once admitted as a dual credit student, one of the first steps is to create a my.nmsu.edu account, which includes creating an NMSU email address. Through this web account, students can conduct business with DACC/NMSU. They can:

  • Send and receive email via an NMSU email address
  • View the schedule of classes
  • Check grades
  • And much more!

To activate an account, simply go to my.nmsu.edu and carefully follow the instructions to create an account. A high school counselor or the DACC Dual Credit Office will be able to help complete this step.
